Clean and simple-HIMCR challenge 133

This is my entry to the clean and simple HIMCR challenge.
I embossed the soft yellow paper(here it looks cream.. but its yellow) and cut out 2 pink butterflies on my wonderful cricut and added it to the embossed butterfly for dimension. Done all the edges in hot pink stamp ink. In addition stamped a butterfly and gave it rhinestone spine accents. I lightly twisted yellow and pink accent string together and crisscrossed it around the card. I felt like doing a simple card 2 days ago and low and behold it fit for this weeks challenge. Didn't even know about the challenge until tonight. Busy week.Yay me!!

Gingerbread Couple

I purchased 2 gingerbread kits for myself and my daughter. When we sat down to start decorating we had no idea what we were going to do. I gathered left over candy we had and this is what we came up with.

 

I did the girl and she did the boy. Some how my daughters gingerboy had an accident. They were stored off to the side so I don't know how he received an injury. But she mended him and kept it moving. I think my looks like a clown which was not my intent but my daughter says he lovers her no matter what her occupation is. LOL. Anyway we had fun decorating and chitchatting and laughing at our selves. Priceless,

Christmas Cards and a Few More

Here are just a few of my Christmas cards. I am disappointed to say that this is not all of them. I made approximately 20 cards  and was so busy sending them off that I forgot to take a pic of them. Some of them were pretty cute if  I do say so myself. I really wish I had remembered to take pic of them. There was a couple of shaker cards. First attempt was ok but the second one was on point. I think they show some of my talent and skills that I have been trying to nurture. Trust me they were really good ones. But here are pictures of the 1's I did remember to take a pic of. I think I am getting better. I did the gift card route for my sis and my daughter. So I made gift card holders for them also. There is even a fall card in the batch. I also had 2 birthdays..for the new year..jan. 1st and 3rd. Hope you like them. Im getting there. Im getting there.

My Own Craft Blog Challenges

I really want to start doing my own challenges. Don't get me wrong..i do enjoy the challenges that I participate in but there is still some challenges I would like to see presented. I know there are some things I need to do. Like for 1 I need to get better at blending. 2. I am kinda confused on digistamps. I get it some what. But all the best ones I want to do are not free. Although they aren't costly I am not willing to pay for every one that I like. So I use black/white images. I want to understand the downloading process and saving it. I haven't seen very many good free digistamps so I guess I will keep looking. Please anyone share if they know any good ones. 3 I have to build my tools a little more also because I want to be able to do anything when I present a challenge and 4 I know I need a better following. When I get these down I will start introducing my own challenges. Are there any tips that you can share with me?

HIMCR challenge-125 THANKGIVING

             This is my entry to HIMCR thanksgiving entry.
There was so much more I wanted to do with this card. But what was in my head didn't come out well on paper. I really wanted a plain pumpkin and corn but it didn't work out well for that. I may try again b4 the challenge is over..providing I get my other projects done. A little bummed but I still think it is a good entry.

Hey Fellow Crafters--Great finds At Meijer

Last week in the craft section Meijer's had a lot of empty space. This week there was still some emptiness. But they did fill some of it with a new craft line. Cute items. I was inspired. Everything that I saw was marked $!. I did grab a few things and a clearance item. YAY!! I will surely be going back to see if there is anything new in those empty spaces.
My clearance item was marked $1.99
but I scanned it at self scan and it came up $.89.
Good deals. Good stuff. Check it out!!! 

HIMCR Challange-122 Fall colors

I love Winnie the Pooh. I grew up in love with him. My daughter's room was Winnie the pooh when she was a baby. She is totally not into Winnie the pooh but its ok. I still have enough love for him for the both of us. So here is my entry into the challenge. I wanted to do another 1 and have 2 entries but I was having so much difficulty and mistakes yesterday that I gave up. I decided yesterday was not a good craft day. I was wasting paper and I took a break and started fresh today. After a ruff day I Love the end result.  I really really need to get better at taking pictures.              As pooh would say...Oh bother!!
