By no means am I new to using a cricut. I have a cricut create. But micheal's was doing a class on using the cricut expressions a couple of weeks and I had been thinking of investing in one because some of my cartridges and projects I want to try can not be used on my smaller cricut. I went and too bad no one else showed up. So for 2 hrs it was just me and the teacher. It was interesting. She was not sure on how it worked because she uses hers only with a gypsy..so we were kinda learning it together. And believe me we used every bit of the 2 hrs. We did after a few trial and error got to projects done. One from my cartridge that was Sweet Treat Boxes and the other was All Occasion Cards cartridge which was theirs. I didn't like how the first project turned out so I threw it away before I left but I did like the second 1..not sure about the colors but hey..we were just playing around trying to figure things out. It was fun and it made me really want a cricut expressions.
I have been to another class since then so I will post those projects very soon.
I think your project turned out great, especially when it was a trial and error deal. I've had an expression for 4 years now and I love it! If you need to learn more about it, you should check out My Pink Stamper's blog. I too didn't get a great experience when I took a lesson at a scrapbook store, so I went online and learnt everything from Robyn. She really does have great tutorials on how to use your cricut expression.
