i have been busy

Yes I have been busy. My daughter had a light work schedule this week and I didn't have much errands to run in addition to I didn't have to take her back and forth to work plus today was left over day for dinner so that left me with some time to craft a little bit more. I entered a challenge..I worked on projects I started in a class, I did a Halloween card..which I never worry about and I completed my 1st of 25 Christmas cards

. YAY ME!!!

Micheals Class This Month

Micheals had another getting to know your cricut expressions class. Of course I went to it. Once again I was the only 1 there. I would have liked to chit chat with fellow crafters but no one else showed up. I guess people are very familiar with there machine. I am more familiar with mines too but I wanted to get out and enjoy myself without the kids. I did also check out some tutorials suggested by Lena of  Lena Creations. Thank you. Great info.
So we got 4 projects done. Well 2 but each project we did them in 2 colors. So this is my before and after. When I got home amongst my tools I embellished and dressed them up. They really turned out great. My personal favorite is the yellow basket and the brown tea cup. The cartridge that we used was Tags Bags Boxes and More 2. It doesn't have much on it. I think like six projects but what is on there I think is interesting and I may get it. I have thought of all kind of ideas that I could use these for. Especially the basket.

Use a critter-HIMCR #121

This is my entry into HIMCR challenge. I was stuck on what to do, Wasn't totally happy with it. It was my daughters idea to do the edge in glitter at the last minute, So I gave it a try. Hope u guys like it. I'm still not sure???

Halloween

I Don't even fool with Halloween but since I am trying to get to know my new cricut expressions I thought, why not! Out of all the years that I have been crafting, I think his is my first Halloween card. I was blocked for a bit but I did come up with this simple card. I like it.

Micheals project last month

By no means am I new to using a cricut. I have a cricut create. But micheal's was doing a class on using the cricut expressions a couple of weeks and I had been thinking of investing in one because some of my cartridges and projects I want to try can  not be used on my smaller cricut. I went and too bad no one else showed up. So for 2 hrs it was just me and the teacher. It was interesting. She was not sure on how it worked because she uses hers only with a gypsy..so we were kinda learning it together. And believe me we used every bit of the 2 hrs. We did after a few trial and error got to projects done. One from my cartridge that was Sweet Treat Boxes and the other was All Occasion Cards cartridge which was theirs. I didn't like how the first project turned out so I threw it away before I left but I did like the second 1..not sure about the colors but hey..we were just playing around trying to figure things out. It was fun and it made me really want a cricut expressions.

I have been to another class since then so I will post those projects very soon.

My success

This card is dedicated to myself. I having been working on losing weight since feb. An it was slow and certainly not steady. Many of times I wanted to give up because of frustration. Weight not coming of when I know I really worked hard keeping with the exercise and didn't have the food that I really really wanted. And o boy did I have some times filled with tears. But I DID IT!!!!! Not quite at my goal yet but I am very happy and proud of where I am now.

Color it Challenge

My entry for HIMCR color it challenge: using and coloring tool, markers, copics, pencils, chalk etc.
I chose markers. I printed the picture from a coloring page site. Although it wasn't part of the challenge but I used all scraps. I hardly ever use green so that was my choice of color.

PINK BLING KINDLE COVER CASE

I had my kindle for about a month and a half and searched and searched for a cover I liked. I went to stores and searched on line. I found nothing. And so I was crafting(1 of my favorite things) and a thought came to me that should have come to me a while ago. Y don't I make my own cover. So I started looking thru my supplies and came up with this great cover. I love it..I made it look how I wanted to look and frankly it turned out better than I thought. I have gotten lots of complements. Some people I tell I designed it myself and sometimes I just bask in the moment of the compliment.
I knew I wanted to spend next to nothing on the cover since I was going to do it myself. I found the case on overstock for $5 and I already had everything else. The first pic is the front of the kindle cover and the second pic is the back of the kindle holder insert that holds the kindle. I glazed them both in resin. It gave it a nice shine. And of course I added some bling.
